We have a plan! But that plan needs your help At some point we'd like a new race control, a shed in the current location of the ramp. This would give a better view of the pits and possibly opening up a new track layout! To do this we need to remove the old ramp and despose of it and remove the old caravan as well. (not race control just yet but the old one) If you can help out please say so on this thread and which day. Possible dates for work day Saturday 11th october or Saturday 25th october. cheers

Ok! so far we have Me and Ollie, Simon, Matt, Adam, Reuben and Rob booked in for the 11th but we still need a few more. Even if you can't spare the whole day, an hour or two would be greatly appreciated, Particularly to move the old caravan and break it up. The BBQ will be burning all day, so bacon rolls for those early enough for breakfast and burgers and hot dogs for lunch. plus tea and coffee will be available from the back of my van, you might want to bring your own cup though

Great stuff Martin, I'll be getting over there about 0900 but come whenever you can. we'll be there all day.
We'll find a nice safe job for Ollie and Lucas, if I take Ollie home minus a finger I'm not sure the wife would be too happy ;D

I suggest if it's raining we put our coats on, get wet and get on with it!

A couple of buckets filled with water on the day placed close at hand may be a good idea and prehaps a big old towel left soaking in one, just in case "for burns"..dont forget eye protection and heavy duty gloves if you have some! DONT FORGET ..the bacon chaps ...and a mug for tea break!

Last time the grass was cut befor a race meet the grip was terrible ...as for a chase round after with the cars..sounds good too me ..some 17.5/13.5 play racing??? If you like baked taters..wrap a couple in two layers of foil leaving plenty of air around them(scrunch the foil up befor wrapping) and bring them with you,the same can be done with corn on the cobb(small frozen ones work best ) "I have a cunning plan" ...dont forget some butter

Yes, lack of grip after grass cutting was the reason the track wasn't cut before the STCC and SLCC. Some visitors thought it looked a little untidy, and marshalled their cars too vigorously when it was long! We've got to cut it some time, and best time is when there's lots of hands to help out, we'll just have to do a whole lotta sweeping. And more sweeping on race day, there's even more hands available then!

Would a leaf blower help? I have one I can bring with me if it helps?
If so will the generator run it ok?

Blowing sounds useful! Depends on the power, what motor is it? I'd guess it would be maybe 7-800W, which should be fine on the gennies.
