A great day. Many thanks to Ian and Keith in particular, the ladies on scrutineering duties and all the other helpers for making it so. Congratulations to… XRAY for TWO track records. Oops, sorry, Graham and Matt for their track records ;D Les, Reuben and Matt (I hope!!) for the clean sweep in 17.5 Craig for joining the 21 club, finishing 3rd in a Prostock A final, and 6th overall in the A, personal best SLCC performance so far And of course Sam for winning the ProStock A and Graham for winning the SuperStock A What a day for SHMCC

Only just Pete, only just!...by 100th of a sec or it would have been a Photon ....and at a min to go I let Matt buy to push him hard into a fast time to "seal" the grid.

I really enjoyed it yesterday. Even if both my final first laps were 26 and 22 seconds after 1st corner tagging. Schuey performed well and deserved its 20 laps in 17.5! dont know where haskells speed come from, and Les's Photon was impressively quick through the infield. But still happy to be 3rd . thanks to Ian and Keith. Good work. And great work on scuitaneering.

Welcome to the 17.5 20 lap club ........One first corner tagging may have been me ....I distinctly remember a car trying to go round my outside ...sorry If it was me I had the inside line on the next corner after going wide into turn one and unfortunately for the other car the weight advantage too......I hate trying to "mix it in that bit some one will always come off worse

Reuben you need to look at Daves pictures. The series of shots at the first corner make it clear what happened to you!
The camera never lies!!! ;D ;D

indeed! Inside line? not sure about that... the is spinning from the outside but you did have more corner speed, which is why I got tagged. Plus its true, first corners are ALWAYS a gamble unless your 1st or 10th. Someone else took me out 2nd final though.... dont know who that was :S, why didnt that get photographed? all is forgiven, im sure ive taken most people out before (accidently of course ).... until Adur :-D

Until ADUR eh!! bring it on ....mmmmm Yately comes to mind, perhaps we are even?

The drivers championship in all classes looks pretty close. Could all depend on the last round. Better make sure everyone is there.

I cant gain enough points to advance from 4th even if no one else turns up . dont think i can drop enough to fall 5th either.... so Ill just turn up for the adur trophy and a bit of fun!.

Great meeting BTW well run and well just perfect. Really insightful to see the LiPo testing underway I think it was very interesting to hear some of the feedback but also hats off to Ian for being so flexible and understanding, a really good stance to take considering 99% of the issues faced where a complete surprise to those being tested.
Nice one.

Bit late, but just to say thanks for a great meeting. Ian/Keith, didnt envy you too having to put up with some constant moaning. Great to get track record - cant see it standing long though. Would not have been possible without a fantastic Xray prepped by the Staples. Needed the win really, but Les was definately the best driver on the day - well done mate. Some great driving on display - especially from the local boys. Well done to Gray for the new record and win, Sedgley with that great move on Barry, Gwesty for new track record and Craig for his awesome 2nd final performance. Pics were also great and the scruteneering was spot on! Roll on Adur, so long as les is slow

Roll on Adur, so long as les is slow Cheers Matt.....I really do enjoy racing against you,Win or loose its brill fun!!! I'm still not sure If I will run 17.5 at ADUR yet,it will depend on testing this weekend..one things for sure I will be only doing one class....should I drop out of 17.5 at least it will give Reubs a chance of his preempted trophy ;D.....or did Reubs mean the SLCC cup for SHMCC??

Post by Reuben on Aug 21, 2009 8:33:05 GMT
we dont need to worry about the SLCC cup. unless every other club starts runnning for aldershot, we've pretty much got it??
