Been talking to Glenn Westwood tonight
He TQ'd and won at Aldershot today (shoulda been racing at Bashley i think!)
He ran the new sweep32's along with a few other people - everyone's talking about how good they are, lasting longer than sorex's giving good grip even in these low temperatures.
No issues with them falling off the rims like we've heard about previously..
Who's up for doing some testing on them at Bashley next weekend!??

13.5 for me.... We can gurantee being able to generate some heat in them with 13.5 surely? I've never run 17.5 at this time of year on 32's so I'm not sure they'll produce enough heat? - I'm happy to be persuaded however!

Sounds good....Ill set up for 13.5,I might have a play and compare with a 2nd gen esc (ISTC)coupled with new style motor....it seems to work well indoors on our short track.....I can also use it as an excuse if im off the pace ;D.....roll on sunday Ive missed unwrapping worms from my drive shafts and bird poo on my splitter.

Nope very little difference, gearing last year was one pinion tooth more, so I reckon two weeks at Bashley will get us well on the way. And a tweak to the Ackermann and the front roll centre will have the chassis sorted. The PC will be on but I'll be watching some new DVDs ;D

May as well, the wets weren't too good yesterday ;D And we will going to be going sooooooooo fast we'll need something to keep us on the track, otherwise we will end up going off big time and scratching one of the nice lightweight titanium driveshafts I'm working again at the weekend so if you CAN pickup a set or two I'll bring some wedge along.

Testing went well in the low grip, even though the tyres visually appeared to grain up, lap times didnt noticeably slow down - infact they got faster throughout the day. A few changes needed to get even grip front to rear. So my sweeps have now done 3 runs indoor, 1 outdoor in the real cold and 6 runs yesterday.
I plan to use them again next sunday, see how many runs you can get before they drop off.
One thing i did find and not sort out, is that they dont seem to stand up well against quick direction change on fast corners - if you turn a little to late or hard off power - you will be sliding sideways round the corner, but im sure a setup change can get rid of that.
