Proposal
Junior club championships including the RRC will have trophies for Eco and Stock classes. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each class.
To receive a trophy the competitor must have competed in 50% of the rounds, rounded up to the next whole number; so for a nine round championship, 5 rounds must be completed to gain a trophy.
Reason for proposal: Supports the proposal for a Junior championship and gives the individuals something they can be proud of, show to their friends and hopefully attract more juniors to the club. Also makes a more effective photograph for any ensuing local newspaper adverts or articles.

But with a junior championship in place it could provide incentive for new juniors to join, especially if advertised well?

It only serves the minority if all the members over Junior age say they don't want trophies. Even then is that so bad? The vast majority of kids don't race without their Dads. If the Dad races and the kids are really keen then the Dad is going to potentally race more ,bringing even more money into the clubs coffers. For an outlay of £108 p.a is that such a bad investment?

all our new juniors this year are beginners so i guess a eco championship would probably go done well if we put an age limit on it. The club have been trying to encorage new members of all ages.

£108 P.A how'd you figure that? Winter, summer, RRC = 3 Stock & Eco = 2 Podium places = 3 Cost = £6 Accept that average of £6 might not be attained but just using your figures
