Proposal: Stock class is changed to so that 17.5 is non timing and 15T motors are allowed Why: I am concerned that our up and coming drivers, predominantly Pro Eco class, have nowhere to go. Stock is the logical stepping stone to both Open TC and regional competitions such as the BRCA NATIONAL Clubman competition in 2012. For whatever reason we currently have almost no Stock drivers whereas we did have a thriving Stock class when we moved to 17.5 (due to timing speedos methinks) against just about every other club in the country – who ARE now adopting 17.5 non timing. Pro Eco drivers who want to move up can buy a 15T or, if they want to plan for the long term and can afford it, can go brushless with 17.5 and a timing speedo which can be set to blinky mode (or of course a blinky speedo outright (but that will not be competitive if you want to move to Open TC))
Note: this does not impact I think Reuben’s proposal; it just means that the makeup of the stock class in that proposal is slightly different.

Sorry does not need right; when I said (due to timing speedos methinks) I meant that that maybe caused the demise of the Stock class at Bashley
