When testing yesterday, I connected the battery the wrong way round (again) on my car. Luckily, the ESC is a HobbyWing with a small capacitor "module" across the positive/negative wires. This includs a SS14 Schottky diode. The diode fried, but did it's job protecting the ESC (the battery is also fried).
The SS14 diode is a surface mount thing, and the page at Farnell has it listed as "1A, 40V". The local shop to me here (Technobots in Totton) does not carry the SS14 diode, but does have a 60V 1A or a 30V 3A.
So my question is, will either of these be ok to use in place of the original SS14?
Thanks in advance,
Tony.
