SWICC TARMAC SPECIAL JULY 5TH AT SHMCC SHMCC extends a warm welcome to all SWICC drivers, we look forward to a weekend of close competition
Directions to track.
We are located in Hampshire on the edge of the New Forest National Park, the nearest town being New Milton. The track situated behind the Danestream farm shop on the B3055 Sway road, post code for satnav is BH25 5QU.
Please note we are unable to offer the adjacent field for parking/pitting so as space will be a little snug please park and pit where directed on arrival.
We have a cold drinking water supply on site BUT PLEASE NOTE we no longer have toilet facilities (bushes only or a quick drive to the pub!)
Small (quiet) generators are allowed in the pitting area.
We don't have any rubbish removal facilities on site so please ensure you take all of your rubbish with you when you leave, we are in a national park surrounded by horses and other wild animals.
Local facilities
The Danestream farm shop at the track enterance sells a variety of fresh & chilled produce, the shop is open until 5pm on Saturday and from 9:30 to 1pm Sunday. We also have The Plough Inn situated a few hundred meters along from the Farm Shop, which apart from the obvious beer! Also serves hot & cold food. Please note we would recommend driving to the Pub as the road is a little dangerous to walk along as there is no foot path. If you fancy a take-away, then New Milton is the place to go, with several Chip Shops, Indian & Chinese restaurants as well as burger/kebab take-aways. Use BH25 6LW (Station road) or BH25 6DN (Old Milton road) for your satnav.. We should also mention there is a Tesco Express located in Old Milton road.. If you need petrol or a bigger shopping experience, the large Tesco store located on the outskirts of New Milton is the closest place BH25 5PX is the post code to use.

Nice to see some old faces at the meeting yesterday. Nice to see some new ones as well! especially those that had driven quite a way to make the race. Hope you all got home safely.
Starting a cloudy day and a bit chilly to what we have been used to recently, actually had to put a jumper on! However the track was pretty good and loads of grip all day, it just seemed to get better and better as the sun eventually came out and the tarmac warmed up.
A good mix in the 17.5 class and some good close racing (apart from Andrew who seemed to be on a different planet to most of us!) There was only a few tenths of a second between 2nd and 5th after qualy so the finals were always going to be good and they were, if a little fraught on the first corner. 11 car finals were always going to be interesting at the first bend.
Scale TC is just awesome and very quickly showed those who had shells that handled as opposed to those us (yep me!) who didnt. I could get really in to this as the cars look so cool going round. We should have more of it! Great stuff guys loved it all.
Then the minis. Well what can you say. There was not a grid full of minis more a swarm. Talk about keeping the marshals busy, dont think I have laughed so much in ages. Really really good fun and such a spectacle to watch, another class I would love to see more of. Hope all you mini guys enjoyed the tarmac experience!
All in all a great day, thank you. Enjoyed every minute (well almost). Was good to see everyone who turned up and was good to see so many smiling faces. A great days racing, good people and warm sunshine. It does not get much better than that.
Thank you all.

All 100% agreed with Ian, massive thanks to everyone who made it to Bashley and raced.. I think everyone had a great time judging by the smiles and laughes from the rostrum! Can't wait to do it again soon

See you then we will see how many tactical shell choices get made Tactically then might use the Mercedes C63 AMG DTM shell.......unfortunately have dug out my old Tamiya BMW M3 Jagermeister shell and am very tempted to try that.... Seem to remember somewhere in the loft there is an Aston Martin DB9 shell as well...hhhmmmmmmmm. Also found online someone (a shop) with new old stock that has the Protoform Nissan Primera shell complete with sticker pack. I know they handled OK as we used them one year. So many choices. Just loving the scale though. Might have to dig my mini out as well and then not do the 17.5 TC. Oh what fun.
