Well done to all SHMCC! It was a fantastic weekend that I certainly will never forget! The mooning The Spooning The flatulence The pool hustler (Mr Ian "i dont play silly games like that Loyd) The gazebo - and what was left of it. and finally Les - with his unique way of lighting a BBQ whilst showing the world his Ass! Many thanks to all those who helped me with advice and encouragement throughout both days!! and you'll all be pleased to hear my "rent a car" has been puuuurrrrchased! mat still happy!

Great stuff team SHMCC thats a good trophy haul and collection of points for the club series we've gotta be top after that!
Everyone did well considering how bad the weather was on saturday and the storm that blew through in the night was something else.
Results are with Mr Newton in the club laptop.

Les, have you got any more of the Lespeed scythes for sale, I want a better faster one than you sold Matt I'll let you have the spare bed next time Sorry Kieth out fo stock..As for the spare bed, sharings fine"Ian can be my stunt double for that one" A BIG BIG well done to all...Matt you do not conform to the norm of a teacher mate ;D I thought we were all mad but the BBQ on top of some of the highest hills in Dorset in rain and strong winds(from other places too) with severe weather on its way just confirms that we ARE insane and in need of a mental check up...The take away roast dinners has to be a first!!..If other clubs start pitting well away from us lot we'll Know why! ;D ;D ;D One of the best giggles of the day for me was spotting YET another two uses for a Lipo sack..One to prop up the leg on the trophy table, two as a raffle ticket draw sack....I just wonder if Trev was having a subtle laugh?? nice one!!

Thanks to everybody who attended the YDMRCC round of SLCC. It all seemed to go quite well. The sunshine on the day was a godsend. We will get as many of our racers to attend the Bashley round as possible. It has ignited a fire in some of them ;D I have to say that on a lot of these rounds without the South Hants crew it would be a much poorer event. Les. Those Lipo sacks got to have some uses . They are not much use for anything else . Thanks again. Trev.

Sounds like a great weekend was had by all. Well done to all the SHMCC boys for a good points haul and for keeping everyone entertained. Round 4 at the Cotswolds in 2 weeks time. I'll be back racing and hopefully we'll have another good turnout from all the clubs, but especially our crew as they really are the life and soul. I seem to be picking up that Dan came 3rd in one of the A finals but I haven't seen any congrats Well I'm going to congratulate him. TERRIFICALLY AWESOME Dan.clapclapclapclap. ;D (careful though we don't want brushed motors being banned at the next AGM )

Thanks Mark....Lets hope the weathers good.
Silly question to all ,Ive found the "sat nav"post code for the Cotswold track on the SLCC site and I presume GL76BA is for the air field"a big place?",but I heard mutterings yesterday the track entrance is on the north side, does this post code work and take you to the correct side?or is there a road name I can use...I've allways found post codes to be rather inacurate on my old sat nav.

TERRIFICALLY AWESOME Dan.clapclapclapclap. ;D (careful though we don't want brushed motors being banned at the next AGM ) Thanks Pete I'll pass it on. Dan qualified 4th in the 19T A final (Les snatched 3rd by one second in the last heat), he raced well and managed to finish 3rd. So not only his first time qualifying for an A final but a trophy as well ;D We're just waiting to see the spec sheets to see what motors everyone else were running....but we suspect mostly if not entirely brushless. I think its fair to say Dan got his race position due to driver skill rather that the motor i think the difference between 10.5 and 19t is much smaller than the 13.5 and 27t gap.
Well done Dan great job.

Les head for the main (only?) entrance where a nice man in a uniform will direct you across several busy runways. Stop at the red lights to avoid the planes taking off and follow the roadway through the landing field and the track is on the right hand side.
I'm waiting for final details from Doug at Cotswolds but it looks like camping from Friday but you must observe where they put you. It's part of the airport regs.
Col, big sense of self achievement to run a BR and still make the A. Well done to the little fella with the crazy hair. It goes to show what can be achieved with a BR motor still. Shame he didn't whip Rob's ass as well!

Dan did drive excellently,3rd with the slowest car in the race, top end his car was pretty evenly matched but excelerating out of the corners, his car didn't seem to have the same punch, just a super smooth driving style kept him on pace,
Congratulations Dan you deserved it, (sorry I forgot to mention it before)

Les, if you get time, would it be possible for you to have a look at my cars setup when we're at the Cotswolds, My inexperience caused me major problems in qualifying, I managed to get the setup sort of sorted by the last final, by then it was like shutting the door after the horse had legged it. I haven't seen my time for the last final but I'll bet it was my fastest by a fair way. If I had sorted it out in the morning, I'm sure I wouldn't have come home so disappointed in my final position. My room mate Mr. Newton said he'd sort it out for me but I think his hangover got the better of him and it slipped his mind. I'll have to charge him for the bed next time ;D
