What Cells do you have Paul? Mike?
SLCC is any hard cased Lipo commercially available..
BRCA are tighter.. but i expect so long as your not winning the a main there'd be a little bit of leeway..

I wouldn't assume the BRCA will give you leeway. We unwittingly ran an illegal Lipo at the STCC last year and were asked to change. No problem my fault. Mind you it was at Bashley so you would expect their race director to be fair but strict

I ran Demon 3800s without stickers at Cotswold last year, they were OK about it and hence I quote "Unless you're winning the A final I'm sure you'll be fine!"
Let's keep things in perspective.. those of us who are going to run nationals this year probably have the cells to do it
Those of us who are liable to stay at club level or SLCC then any hard cased lipo will do...
Paul - with specific reference to your cells, 2400 Mah would be suitable for 17.5, possibly 13.5 but certainly not 10.5 which is the minimum motor power in nationals for the 2010 season - They'd dump before the end of your run I expect
HTH
P.S when are we gonna see you race!? Indoors this weekend??? warm and dry!?

hmmm, well I might risk it if I decide to run at a national near the end of the summer - i'll prob be picking up a 10.5 late summer to run with. After all, I'm not going there thining of making the A, I'm there to meet up with some old friends from Cardiff and have some fun racing them....

The list does get added to throughout the year I think - but the cells have to be submitted by the distributor - there's certainly a few different packs on their that you wouldn't consider "common" around these parts but may be more popular further up North perhaps.

You should email Paul Worsley the EB officer, just explain what cell it is, explain the 30C and 50C 5000's are on the list. just to check that you wont be turned away from a national. im sure you will get a answer back.

cheers Reubes, turns out that you are EXPECTED to run the batteries on the list, but he didn't say you couldn't run others. Could always book in and run them, and borrow a m8s pack if i have to change....

Its nothing to worry about, the list is updated very fequently..there are cells at the moment awaiting homoligation!! Book and garantee you place first then panic closer to the date Besides the list is a load of Bo***ks if a cell fails its relabled and sold under a name that already is.
