Wonder what you guys are doing on setup? Whilst we have a setup sheet for Aldershot from last year which was pretty good, now that we have the Bashley setup totally magical I am loathe to move too far from that. So I am planning on a small increase in ride height, 0.25 allround. Leaving the downstops the same which will reduce the uplift a small amount - the track is smoother. Harder on oil and springs all round. Moving the rear camber to 2.0. I am going to leave the Ackermann the same but that will probably be my first port of call if the handling is not good, followed by resetting the downstops to compensate for the ride height increase. Not sure what to do with the 10.5 as it was lousy up there a few weeks ago but moving the other way by adding teeth and reducing timing has worked wonders on the 13.5 and I think I am going to go that way at Aldershot, ie relative to the current Aldershot settings we have been using and totally in the opposite direction to young Kieran

Ooh yes yes promise promise Will you be in the same place with Dave and Kieran? Theres no pitting allowed there,Pitting has to be in the field on the toilet side and next to the track.Any way you cant miss us,we'll be the "Gay"-zeebo where the fun is and prob the noisest too Cant help with set up too much Pete as I would'nt advise on something Ive never driven or used!but dont be shy with ride height and droop, the tracks not as smooth as you think and the bankings "ripples" WILL test your set up,susspention travel and damping... Im moon miles away from a Bashley set up too.

Thanks boys and girls for good company on a weekend away. Still getting use to the Mod malarky but the XRAY (see that Pete, i did it right ) was amazingly responsive, oodles of everything once the tyres had done a few laps.. Looking forward to the Nats in a few weeks time.

Great meet, lots of laughs, I daren’t publish Les’ altercation with the toilet seat. Fabulous F1 drive by Liam and great result for young Dean. Loved Reuben’s Black magic bodyshell but a shame he does not spin his car so much at Bashley. Perhaps you could run mod and old tyres in the RRC too and give us all a chance Reubs. ;D B final good stuff though. Frustrating qualies for us as the Tekin turbo decided to stop working in Q1 and my fix for Q2 made no difference. Thanks to Reuben for asking if I had set the transmitter EPA to 90% when synching. Doh, dumbo Made no difference though as one of the new wheels used in Q3 had a tyre come away from the rim so we didn’t finish, grrh. And thanks Les for an inspired idea to stiffen the damping on the front springs and for lending me the oil , made such a huge difference in the finals on the sweeper that Craig was able to take a 3rd and a 1st in the D from 10th on the grid., smashing our race and lap PBs we set there at the Nats last year, so well pleased. I treated Craig to a disgustingly large chocolate muffin on the way home. ;D
