one!? Two!? Three? All? volunteer??
What do we need? I'm a big fan of us only having a facebook page for clarity.. social media is key these days, it's now searchable through google, and can be viewed by those who don't have a face-ache account.

i dont think getting rid of this forum is a good idea,
we could risk alienating people who are not connected to FB - Can we embed this forum into a facebook page?

That was just a suggestion Darren, I wasn't expecting we would. You can still view a facebook group even if you are not a member

my original post, was relating to our club website, Martin i know wants to hand it over to someone.
I created a wordpress blogg with all the basic information on it, as thats all i feel we need, a place to post results, and info about location, and a calendar.. most other things we do run through this forum, which is great!
We have to bear in mind, it's a free forum, we cant take any of the data away from it, and also it could be deleted by proboards with no warning.
my thought is, with facebook pages being so popular, and with them now being searchable by google, do we just need a business page on facebook, and also use our shmcc.org address to point to that page, personally i'm not looking to change the forum as it works so well..

It would make sense, as long as we make it viewable to everyone, which isnt a problem. It can hold all the key information, and I believe you can now upload files such as pdf's, which could be used for race results, ads, directions, membership forms & rules and regs etc....
I've got some time tonight so I'll see what I can put together using our current fb page as a base, if everyone is ok with me taking this on as a project?
