hpi firebolt and ansmann clash 15t are same motor,
both available for less than 8, the clash is rated @ 30,000 rpm plus.
Is this true?

Not seen a firebolt in the flesh Paul, but I doubt there is a huge amount in it..
I remember when we started this whole rc car thing, one of Anthony's mate stuck a 15T ansmann in his TT01 and ran it in a couple of Eco heats.. Seem to remember it didn't seem much quicker but did kill his Nimh's quick!

I am not sure about these being the same. I have run the Ansmann 15t motor and to be honest was dissapointed with the performance. Ask Terry he ran one as well, whereas the Firebolt seems much quicker out of the box as they say. I suspect it is in the brush make up with different brushes in the Firebolt to the Ansmann but I am prepared to be proved wrong here.

There can be big differences in performance between motors out of the box(luck of the draw),Gearing is critical too and a desent speedo with good cells can transfom this type of motor
