Hello all,
I've three brushless ESCs (two came with used ebay cars, the other one I bought new). I'm not sure which one would be "the best" so looking for any opinions if anyone has them. I'm still very much a novice so bear that in mind.
1. Fusion Exceed race esc. 2. Losi Xcelorin 3. Hobbyking X-Car 60A Brushless Car ESC
All three have programming cards, the Losi and Hobbyking ones can also connect to the PC (the Losi software seems better than the Hobbyking equivalent).
Any opinions? My gut feeling is that the Losi is going to be the most flexible, but as I said earlier, I'm still very much a novice.
Thanks in advance for any opinions.
Tony.

Depends what you want to do really,
Out of the 3 the Losi and Fusion are the best, the fusion is a tad older but still combos sell for around £100 with a motor n speedo and are very decent in off roaders.
What really to bear in mind is, will you be running 17.5t blinky all the time or do you plan to run boosted 13.5t and beyond thats where you need to think about the ESC choice a tad more.
But anyway
Out of the 3 the best performing is probably going to be the Exceed and then Losi, the Exceed is older but it was also more of a up market ESC at the time where the Xcelorin stuff was mainly used in off road RTR's, before it went to dynamite fuze gear.
Also make sure if you can turn off reverse so its forward/brake only, you'll save your gears!
Thats my opinion on the matter, ive had experience with the exceed and Xcelroin but not the X Car hobbyking jobby
Cheers
Adam.

Thanks Adam.
I'm going to be running a 13.5t motor in the car and the Fusion is already in my "best" car. I'm pretty sure I can run the Fusion with timing turned off (that is "blinky" isn't it?).

Yeah blinky is no timing advanced via the ESC aka boost/turbo etc

But make sure that the speedo does have a "blinky" mode - this not only ensures that all the timing and boost is disabled, but makes it legal for all blinky championships. One of the leds on the speedo should blink while in neutral. I'm sure that they will all have the option, but worth checking
