So I went into LESRO MODELS at the weekend and they tell me they are closing the Christchurch shop and moving to UPTON and going online. Shame as yet another local model shop moves away and forces us to buy more and more over the internet.
Personally I always used to like actually looking at the stuff on sale but guess this will not be the case anymore. No more impulse purchases because I have seen it on the shelf. Hey Ho such is life I guess. I can understand the need to compete with other on line shops who do not have the overheads of bricks and mortar premises so cannot blame them really.
Soon there will only be hairdressers, estate agents, building societies and charity shops with actual premises.
Feeling rather sad about it today.

It is sad to hear this.
I actually use Lesro for most things these days even though I very rarely visit the shop. I email Stuart, he orders what I need and brings it along to Bransgore on a Monday evening (either I or a friend picks it up). And local clubs get a 10% discount which makes Lesro cheaper than most online stores. I hope I'll still be able to do this once the shop closes.

Agreed, thats not good news...
We've(SHMCC)have suffered from the closure of Reality Racing this time last year... We nolonger get the stream of potenetial new members that impulse buys of RTR cars from Terrys used to bring..
I'm sure LESRO closing and going on line will affect all of the local clubs in much the same way :-(
I think even estate agents and building societies are on their way off the high street and we use a mobile hairdresser in our house.. Guess the highstreets will soon belong to the Charity Shops!!
