hi all, sorry to start the thread quite a bit in advance as round onw has not passed yet but i have been thinking about it allready. it is quite a long way to travel in the morning befor the event so i was wondering if there was any interest for people to get a caravan for the weekend at the hoburne cotswold camp site. the price for a bronze caravan is £140 and the price for a silver caravan is £185 with my staff discount (could get it cheaper i will find out). split that between 6 people staying in a caravan is not to bad. we would have use of the van from the friday night untill the monday morning. if u are interested post up below and we will try to sort somthing out as they may sell out prety quick. so far defo going is me and luke. any takers?

Hi Matt, I'm in if we can split the cost 6 ways... Worked really well last year at Torbay :-)
Are you sure we have to use the van from Friday to Sunday? We managed to just use it Saturday night last year?

Yes mate, we had the same last year but just did not take advantage of it. This year I was going to go up Friday night and stay till the Monday morning if I could. No rushing around then :-D

Not sure Reubs, from memory non of the tracks opened for Saturday practice last year except for SHMCC! But we didn't have Cotswolds, Mendip, Aldershot etc in the Championship.. I'll drop Trev a note and find out..

Right all, the Caravan is booked and we got it for £100. That makes it £20 each. Not quite as cheep as I thought but still a good price none the less. People in the Caravan are me,luke, liam, dave and Ruben

Wow, what an amazing track cotswolds is. I love it. Such a lovely track to drive around once u get used to it. Shame that more SHMCC members Could not make it this weekend. Although I think that the five of us did the club justice. Only thing is that having driven and raced an mi5 this weekend (broke the xray top deck and the shop on site did not stock xray spares, typical) and completely loved it, it may be about to cause a sizable dent in my savings for a new big car. :-D :-D :-D

Glad those who made it from team SHMCC had a good day.. Apologies for not being able to make it myself :-(
Watch it Matt, changing cars can be a very slippery slope :-)

Sean and I really enjoyed it. A little frustrated that we didn't have the bits to get the FDR down to 3, but still didn't come last.

I'm wondering if it's the best 8 out of 10 kind of thing. If it's total over all rounds, that would be really good (Sean and I are planning on going to all rounds).
Just checked, last year it was the best 4 from 7 rounds.

Hi guys it the best 10 of 16 rounds and u need to field 4 drivers for u to get some points at a round . the highest 4 scores for a club are divided to give an average. this way it stops a club running its top one or two drivers and the old slcc was on points total for the club and it meant smaller clubs who had less drivers had no chance this way it seems far all round no top drivers steeling the glory and no big clubs Yeovil who won last year was a new club in feb so it proves it works it was originally an average of all the score but that seemed unfair as the clubs with more drivers unless they where all a final where at a disadvantage which was not my plan nothing to do with me this year but that's the idea which i hope u agree with and as i doing the results on website even if not racing i think it works Darryl
