Just to open a can of worms. What`s the best chassis for ease of set up and driveability?

Well you know that the best one is the one you are using now. Hence why you will get so many different answers! Having had many different chassis over the years I can certainly say the current X Ray is one of the best I have had for consistently handling well. Seems to hold a set up really well unlike some I have had that seem to change everytime you put it on the track. The Associated TC6 was also very good but needed more work to keep it good although the one Andrew has is pretty d**n good.
Its all down to the driver really, some prefer one to another. Best is what suits you.
For fun I love the FF03 as it is really fun and easy to drive but certainly is not competitive. Shame really.

The 6.2 is indeed a good car and i rarely change anything on the car set up wise and is always pretty dialed. However im going to Xray soon as i think the build quality is slightly better and fancy a change of colour.
I don't think there's much between any of the top cars like the BD7, T4, 6.2, Capricorn, 419, etc etc if they are all set up well and in the hands of a good driver i doubt you would see much difference if any at our level. It really comes down to how much you want to spend, what colour you like and what the best availability is for spares. I seem to remember the BD7 being good only when you had piled more option parts onto it and if it was set up perfectly, i dont know anyone that uses a tamiya, The MI5 looks good but i never see it being very competitive and seems quite fragile, The Capricorns are mega bucks and are rare and the awesomatix well.. ive seen one.
That really leaves you with associated or Xray..
Blue or Orange is your only real question there as you look at the chassis and they are virtually identical. If it were my money id say the new 2016 T4, the 6.2 has been out for a while and i wouldn't be surprised if they released an updated version soon so i wouldnt be spending £350 odd on a new kit. The T4 2016 is just out and is a slightly tweaked version of an already proven race winning car.

Sean and I went with Schumacher originally as they are a British company, and I like to keep money in our own economy if possible. And yes, I know all the bits will probably be made in the far east. The biggest performance improvement I saw in my car was new tyres. The effect they have beats any setup changes I've ever made. All the tinkering, changing shock positions, spring changes etc went away with new tyres. Both of us are using Mi5s now (purchased used). After last Wednesday when it was easy to flip, I added some washers and on Sunday it was perfect. But I was running new tyres as well , so who knows for sure if the washers make any difference.

The Early Durango cars were a bit fragile and hard to set up. Not sure which version that one is but be wary.

Did I read somewhere that Elliot Harper switched from Durango to Schumacher this year and has just won the UK modified championship? I know he had a few good results with the Durango but was pretty inconsistent with quite a few DNF's due to problems. Maybe the newer versions are better but personally I would stay with one of the mainstream manufacturers. Schumacher seems to be doing OK at the moment with the latest car and maybe the issues it had with breakages have been fixed?

If it helps, someone at SICC last year (I think it was Richard Gorringe) changed to a Durango and wasn't happy. He said it was not as consistent as the old car and he couldn't get the setup right (I cannot remember what the old car was).
Seems a lot of car for the money though.

If it is of any help Paul I have RC Racer copies with reviews of the Tamiya TRF419, Durango DETC410, Schumacher MI5Evo and X Ray T4 2015. Will bring them along tomorrow and you can have them if you want.
