Hi there, I'm new here and looking for some help. I'm struggling to find info on what you guys do!
A little about me without getting too long winded. I raced RC throughout the 90's and played through the 2000's. Recently got back into it by buying my son (he's 7 atm) a 1/10 rtr and myself a crawler. My son's into computer games, but loves the RC so I think getting into racing will get him a decent hobby/sport that he needs to get him off the computer. Oh, we live in Sway, so nice and close.
So, I know you race inside on a Wednesday and outside in the summer, but where and what times? I see you generally race TC, GT12 and minis, but where can I find rules? I guess minis would be the best class to start with? I used to race an RC12 "back in the day" and don't think my son is quite ready for that!
thanks, Rich

Best thing to do would be to pop in on Wednesday and say hello. Any time from 7pm and you will definitely find some of us there. New Milton Memorial Hall is where we race (http://www.wannarace.co.uk/index.php/home-2/find-us/). It'll give us a chance to show off our cars To get started, the Tamiya M05 chassis is perfect. You would need to change tyres, motor and possibly springs to get competitive, but if you turned up with the stock car, I'm sure a couple of us would put slower motors in so as we don't head off into the distance. The stock tyres are awful, but everything else in the kit will work ok.

PS. I'm fairly sure that there are a couple of club cars for having a go on the outdoor track (but that will not be until April time).

Thanks for your replies, I hadn't found the website for some reason! 7pm is getting a bit late for the boy to be honest, he's normally in bed 7:30-8:00. I might just wait until the spring and come along to a Sunday to meet you all.
The M05 certainly seems accessible and not stupidly fast. I'll keep an eye out for a cheap starter car, could be a good birthday present!
