1) As we do not always cover our costs I propose an increase in weekly fees as follows Senior member £8,non member £9,Junior under 16 and students in full time education £5 non member junior £6. 2) As the outside track usage on a Sunday last year was very low we need to discuss the future of the outside track beyond August 2018.

Some ideas.
1. Alternative ideas for Sunday use (Iconic cup, Tamiya day, etc). We were talking with a shop owner in Shropshire, he said they get two days a year where they have 90ish racers, massive injection of funds for the club.
2. Ditch this forum due to lack of use and use Facebook instead (much larger user group). Only 20 users have been on the forum this year, we get more than that who see every post on Facebook.
3. Sean would like to be on the committee.
4. Invite other local club members to race for member rates during the summer season. Hopefully get a few more users.
I tried a drift night last year, that didn't really work. But any other ideas to get more use of the track are surely worth a go.

My item 1 was something for discussion (not for voting on).

I also second item 1 by Derek (at the very least, we need to cover our costs).

Re ditching the forum is it a problem if we keep both, lets discuss at the AGM DEREK Not really a problem, I'd prefer the forum. To give an example of why I think we should ditch it, I posted a picture of the track yesterday. In less than an hour 12 people had seen it, and as I look now, it's been seen by 176 different people. Facebook is far more effective than the forum for generating interest and publicity, we've even had two people ask when outdoors starts again. That would never happen on the forum where we rely on people to actually visit (rather than the facebook way of shoving information down your throat).

As much as I hate it I have to agree with the Facebook comments. We employee a person to do nothing but Facebook posts as it reaches far more people than our website does. Sign of the times but I agree it is effective. I have noticed before when posting on the SHMCC Facebook page that you almost instantly get people looking and and asking questions, something that does not happen on here. Persoanlly I can see no use in this forum in the wider sense but can still be informative for members. Depends if this costs us anything I suppose. If it does then there is no point in keeping it for the limited use it gets.

If we are thinking of upping race fees then I propose that we extend length of races to 8 minutes per race for gt12 and 7 minutes for touring cars please
