I finally fitted the ECS drive shafts for the 2nd final on Sunday. Craig immediately felt the difference and the car was clearly more settled at the front in the corners. The rub was though that the turn in was so much tighter that the back end developed a mind of its own.. Tried Mick’s tip of reducing the Ackermann and a quick run out in between races showed that that sorted it. Unfortunately the chief mechanic did not have the foresight to fit a charged Lipo for the 3rd final so we did not get any race time feedback on the final configuration, so we have to wait until next Sunday. Mind you even with the wayward rear end in final 2 Craig improved best lap over final 1 by .33sec whereas Graham did by .14. Nowhere conclusive but it is indicative that the gain was not due significantly to improving track conditions
