Liam mentioned the KO earlier on today...
It's something I've heard about but never really paid much attention to...
Who's done it? is it any good? would you recommend it? etc etc.. I'm interested to hear peoples experiences!

The KO is a thing of legend.
A thing of getting a good pitting spot.
A thing of sitting around a lot, and only getting 4 or so runs in a day.
A thing of getting your ass kicked by some of the country's best drivers.
A thing of alloy-bending crashes into the fence.
A thing of a dozen diff rebuilds.
A thing of generators.
A thing of generators causing extension leads to catch fire.
A thing of donuts and cake.
A thing of the most amazing raffle RC has ever seen.
And finally, a thing of everyone wanting to win the cheesiest KO clock you've ever seen.
So yes, recommended if you can handle 3 days of sitting in a field, rain or shine...

Did the Ko GP last year and what a event, 3 days of racing. Saturday practice day 11am start, sunday 8am first race on the line (5 qualifying) 1hr 30min between each qualifier. Monday 2 qualifiers and 3 finals. By the end of the event your knackered and car is well worn, but all in all amazing 3 days and i'll be going again this year....

No KO clock this year, sponsorship has changed But but, that's the best bit! I wonder if the new sponsor will honour the clock and produce one of their own. Who's sponsoring it now?

Excellent track and nice chairman. Enjoyed the racing very much at SLCC 2008. However, standing in the numerous piles of doggy do-do put a bit of a dampener on it. ;D ;D
