On my web browsing I found this: www.top-racing.jp/showNews.asp?lang=EN&NewsID=69&f=trueI know almost none of us run TOP cars (apart from mr newton) but there are some interesting parts to this. eg. Lipo Balancing tray, very minimal amounts of alloy used in the bulk-heads keeping the CoG very low down, diff-pulley design and the rear part of the top deck (between the spur and rear bulkhead is in two separate parts rather than a single piece.

I doubt it, you've enough Scythes now to last you for atleast two seasons! - provided you don't keep hitting the fence!

Interesting stuff...note the Xray style diff and wishbone roll center pivot/adjustment...price and basic car should be interesting, the previous Top model the Scythe cost a small fortune with hop ups from the basic kit to make it compedative

I'm impressed, looks nicely designed. And not the normal salt and vinegar that all the manufacturers seem to follow these days.

All those extra adjustments could make it a mind numbing experience to set up for the clubman. The old Scythe was blisteringly quick "when!!" you found the set up,unfortunatly it had a narrow window of correct set up plus it tweaked easily....one thing I did spot is the same old spur gear carrier, any one who has owned a Scythe knows what a pain that is

looks like lower suspension parts from the 3.5 differential from the 009 layshaft assembly from a 009ish and HB prototype shocks with new pistons!
I like the Lipo holder with adjustable weight.. is this the first dedicated lipo car?

Wonder who will take up distribution and drive it?...that may well be an issue, the car needs to be proved in this part of the world first..If it was'nt for the Westwoods and a one man band distributor that raced, the old Scythe may have never taken off?..also due to most of the suspension been the same as HPI it nicked a few HPI/Hot Bodies drivers, this Photon may be all new parts???

good point mate!
It says in the Engineers notes on those images that the suspension is fully interchangeable with the previous versions of the Scythe.. I wonder if it is then backwards compatible with the Cyclone worlds?
I'd love to see one in the flesh!
