Hi Guys, Have just been informed of the goings on at Aldershot!! I was horified to hear of the way this basic racing incedent was handled!! as for being sworn at my a race official well this is just beyond beleif! I have been in this sport on and off for more years than I care to remember and do not ever beleive have heard of such a unprofessional aproach before. The BRCA is our governing body and as such MUST be informed so that this NEVER happens again. I can not beleive that a motar can be striped without compensation in my national days if you made a complaint and requested a motor to be striped then you had to cover the cost of a replacement motor should the motor be deemed ilegal then you had your money back if was ok then it paid for the new motor! If this is not inforced then every time you are beat just place a complaint and have there motor striped then they cant race the next final!! Now that is not right. On another Not Please be aware of leaving you Pit area unattended we had 6 brand new sets of Sorex tyres taken from our Pit area over the weekend so Please be aware of light fingered Guys!!

can i point out that the motor was stripped on request of the driver who the complaint was made against. you can strip and assemble a motor without damage so i cannot see where the question of compensation comes in it also takes minutes and the driver in question was ready for his last final by at least 1/2 hour. my last point is that there were two seperate incidents here please bear this in mind.

Thanks for your words and concern,as you so rightly say some form of compensation should be given to the accused driver should he be found not guilty for the shear bloody inconvenience!! the complaint should also be in writing along with the money to be forfeited by the acuser..just having the accusation alone can damage a drivers rep!! As it so happened the driver concerned was happy to have his motor stripped there and then just to prove a point!!...a 5 min job to check rotor size!... plus as a SHMCC member he was concerned for the clubs rep too!!! This incident is at all no reflection on the majority of the Aldershot members who we have a very good rapor with, just a very poor judgment on the day by the "management" As organizing club for the SLCC (Ian Newton) we shall be keeping a very close eye on "things".and would like to keep this mater "in house" For me this disgusting incident is a first and I have been racing for a long time too!!

I take on board what is said. was not aware that only the armature was measured. a normal strip down includes counting the windings and measuring the wire which renders the motor un useable. if this was not the case then I understand.
