A couple of questions.
While I know different clubs run different systems there are a few that have useful bits that can make racing more interesting, at least in my opinion. I just wondered if the one used at Bashley has these options that are just not used.
At Cotswolds during practice their system calls out the car numbers/names (if you have your PT against your name) and the time of the lap you have just completed. This is good for me as I can tell if I am getting better or worse and also can tell how I compare to others while practising.
The Yeovil system gives you a warning at 30 seconds to go before the end of the race which I find quite useful and also gives the number of the car that has fastest lap overall in that class when the race has finished.
Can these things be set on the Bashley system or indeed is anyone really interested anyway. Apart from me that is.

None of these features are available on the RC Timing system we use at SHMCC.
Indeed, I don't think all the features are available in any software, I think they are features from more than one system!
Personally, I find more information, especially during a race, somewhat offputting. On Friday's at Hamworthy FabCount often gets in a pickle when trying to announce the race order, a fastest lap and who's being lapped, all at once, while we're trying to do 7 second laps. I'm often telling it to just shut up!

Individual named lap...this I have found handy on a strange track to check your fastest lines but as Simon said I would probably find it irritating during quallies or finals "I find it hard enough to concentrate as it is" ;D Ah ha the games up Mr Lloyde, now we know why you joined yeovil...does the system tell you who you have just punted too

No les the system does not. However......the race director usually does!! Anyway I am not sure what you mean. Are you insinuating I don't know who I hit? Accidentally of course

I certainly did! Thank you for pointing that out Mr Baldry I still think the practice system that calls out your individual lap times is good for setting the car up for a particular track. At least you know when on the rostrum if you are getting better, or in my case worse!

After using the system for practice at cotwolds, the lap time call out is definately helpful in set-up, gearing etc.
I cant seem to remember it calling single laps during the race. Maybe it switches off?

Yep I think you are right Matt. It only does it during practice. Must be something in the set up for practice sessions.
