Who's got a buggy or monster truck?
Now the 'spare parking' area is nice and short we could stick a few car tyres down and have a bit of a spin round.
If you've got an off roader, bring it down!

I can't resist the draw of racing some 1/10th buggies, so I've ordered a Tamiya 4WD buggy, the Durga (shite name!) www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewtamiyadurga/The Ansmann that Terry has in looks an absolute bargain at £60, just stick some electrics in it. This was my 2nd choice, I just had to have another Tamiya tho. How about we do the following: Stick some tyres down for corners on the far 'spare land' to the right of the track. Mow the grass short in the shape of a simple track A jump or two Have some ad-hoc races in the gaps of a normal race meeting Get together on a Saturday for TC practice and off-road fun? Let's not worry about what the cars / motors / rules etc are just yet, lets just have some fun!

The new off-road track is ready! Well, it needs a bit more mowing, but the layout is there with tyres for corners.
I did a few laps with the mower to highlight the racing line ;-)

what brushless u got in there?
My buggy has a 15t silver can, but i could try a speed passion 13.5 (but dont know whether it would get to hot or be to slowwwww)
Alternatively ill just put some off road tyres on my rc18 and send that round with its brushless.

Just Nosram dragon 13.5 with a nosram evil esc, nowt flashy and if it goes bang no money lost... Blasted it around the garden (which is about half the size of the track) for 7 mins and it was hot but nothing to get excited about

Nice one Darren, I *knew* there were more off-roaders lurking in cupboards!
I'm gonna stick my spare Sphere and whatever motor I have that's not in the TC into the Durga, when it arrives, and when it's built!

4.5 got to see that hunting for grip... 13.5 was bad enough, couldn't brake and hit the throttle, if i did the buggy just flip over. maybe cause its rear wheels only or cause the RX Fighter is a short wheel base, might run better in the madcap.. Anyway when is the first Bashley Buggy Bash happening....

How tight are the corners... Might put some power in the lunch box and give that a blast.... Its only ever been in the hands of the miss'es who managed to slam it into the kerb thinking it would ride up the kerb cause of its big wheels ;D

We cut the grass nice and short on the off-road track today, so get your buggies out and have a bash around! The track goes clockwise! My new buggy is nearly ready, just need to pop some electrics in it. Gonna use spare touring car electrics in it, so that 10.5 brushless! Chose a car that took lipos nicely too, so it's a pretty cheap solution.
