Most of our A finalists will stop if they cause or participate in causing another driver to go off. Compared with the SLCC and STCC where this is very rare occurrence we should congratulate ourselves as a club for the standard we set, it is seemingly less so elsewhere. And at this juncture I should apologise to whomever it was that Ross took out, sorry demolished, at the end of the straight today. But.. I had a pleasant conversion today with a driver who was guilty of not moving aside fast enough to allow a lapping car in qualifying get by (neither Craig nor Ross); we agreed, nuff said. I think though it would be a good idea during every drivers’ briefing if this particular point was stressed. I have tried to drill it into my boys to be aware and if a driver catches you in qualies they are going faster and should be let through. And you don’t have to wait for the straight to do so.

Point noted Pete, next drivers briefing we'll re-emphasise the point.
I think both drivers have spoken since the incident too!

It should be stressed there there was semblance of bad feeling anywhere, but it does happen and I felt the point deserved reinforcement, especially for newbies and visiting drivers (who, unlikley, but might come from clubs where the view is not the same). Even young Rossie can do it, more so than overtaking without demolishing ;D
