There is some minor whinging lately that confuses me,Bashley has always tried to have a "relaxed" atmosphere with out any strict regime, perhaps we are too relaxed???
Would the members prefer a strict run meeting,to set schedules regard less if any member has a minor problem "that we can hold for"...or delay a heat if someones not charged
How about marshaling, some strict rule here?? ie loose your FTD if you miss your duty.
Random scrutineering with possible disqualification to any one caught cheating.
10 sec penaltys for minor driving errors
The Race directors word is the final decision on the day..regardless of what the members want
Disqualification with out warning to any one not using a Lipo cut out
No I dont think we need this at all, this is not our way!!.....but trust me some clubs are.....I and others experienced one club this way a short time ago...Its not nice!!!!

I for one quite like the relaxed approach. OK sometimes we are a bit late(ish) for marshalling but usually everyone is there even if at the last moment.
This is boys playing with toys and not to be taken too seriously. At least for me anyway.

I'm still relatively new, and have to say.. As a newbie, I was concerned about turning up to a strict meeting, not knowing 'Proper Codes Of Conduct', or even just forgetting things that regular racers take for granted.
The fact that SHMCC ran relaxed meetings made joining the club very appealing to me. In fact, if it was too serious I don't think I would have stuck with it.
Being a friendly club will in my opinion attract new members, and to me is a lot more fun. Fair enough on important meetings such as SLCC etc. where it is right for it to be strict, but for normal club meetings I think it is enough to trust people NOT to cheat.
