Having just bought one of these (motor and esc combo) I see they list it is suitable for a forward/reverse operation. Would be a good idea for me as fitting it in my off road truck.
Has anyone had any experience of running brushless systems with reverse? I assume there is no problem with the motor going backwards? All new to me, brushed and reverse I can understand but just a bit wary of brushless and reverse.
I have to say I quite like the programming for it. Easy to do and lots of options. Easier to work out than the Sphere and if you want to go really complicated it has the USB connection so you can laptop programme it.

I have reverse on my rc18 brushless (sensorless) and it works fine.

I've had problems reversing an lrp motor on a gtb speedo, it cogged really badly. A Novak motor is fine with it though I'm not convinced I wouldn't have been able to sort it out with a timing change though, it's something I never did get round to trying. I would keep the timing at 0 deg to start with

The losi has fixed timing so I guess they've allready got it sorted with running in reverse, from the top of my head, i think the losi can only be used as a brushless speedo. I don't think it has a brushed option although I could be wrong..
I'm pretty certain it doesn't do anything sensorless.

The motor may be fixed timing but the speedo has infinite and easy adjustments to change the timing from 0 deg up to 8 deg.
I am running an LRP 13.5 with it. Will try it on reverse and see what happens.

Indeedy it does, Steve Perry from Bransgore seems to be the Guru on using the Losi speedo, he was eeking quite a bit out of it at the mini challenge, maybe Ed also, he's got one in the tub!
