I seem to be suffering from leaking shocks recently. Rebuild them with new o rings the night before and at the end of the day they are all leaking and full of air.
Is there a particular "upgrade" O Ring to use? Are some better than others.
This is on the Cyclone using standard shocks with Ti coated shafts.
Getting fed up with doing shock rebuilds.

Ian try soaking the seal in shock oil for a few hours to allow them to expand befor fitting.......The smoothest seals are not necessarily the best for a leak free shock....fit a hard or larger seal to stop leaks but have a sticky shock or fit super soft seals for the perfect shock but be prepared to rebuild more often...choices???

Ian, you'll probably want to look at changing the shafts too... they do wear, and won't seal as well regardless of the o-ring used. I'm having that issue with the Tam's at the moment (shafts are worn), but can't get hold of any of the Ti shafts currently

I'm using the grey fluorine coated ones, and they seem smoother than the gold ones, and seem to be less leaky. Dunno which are 'the best'. Ian: I'm using Much More o-rings, the 40wt ones, they're pre-soaked, they seem decent.

Yeah Mark suggested using the Much More O Rings. Have ordered some and will give them a try. New shafts as well.
Did not leak at all when new, omly just started leaking so maybe just wear on the shafts.
I wonder if having the shocks laid down also puts more pressure on one side of the seal causing premature wear as it goes up and down?

the muchmore seals are very smooth , the reason for this is that the seal isnt as tight as standard weight seals so they will leak ! i use either mm45 shore or schumacher kit seals . the lower the shock is the less movement the piston has , so that wont cause them to leak at all
