OK I'm in the hot seat for tomorrow night, so who's coming down??
Gonna make a start as soon as we can to catch as much light as possible, however based on last week we may only get 3 rounds in..
Looking forward to plenty of Ansmann action & the usual cast of stock / pro-stock Wednesday nighters..
See you all tomorrow

Hi Jason,
Got the Losi SW up & running on my netbook, had some fun with the UART USB drivers!!
Just flashed a few changes (LIPO & cutoff volt + enabled reverse) before we fit the kit the morning.. Once Antz has finished sorting out his drive chain...
Going to try to get track side around 4pm so we can get some practice in.. (6 mins at a time!!)

err no it's Antz ENABLE reverse! Ok, The only reason I say is that it can upset people if someone has/uses reverse. Especially if they have the ability to disable it. Plus, it's good practice to get used to not relying on it.. almost forces you to not take risks, not to mention most people do not expect a car to reverse and take this into account when trying to avoid collisions.

Will do Terry,
I see what you mean now Jason.. Obviously reverse is a function you loose when you start spending money!!
Seems not enabling reverse is a hang over from the old days when the function just was not available.. I don't personally see it as unsporting to have reverse, just because someone else has decided to fit a top end ESC without it..
Anyway I'll leave it on for the moment cos that what Antz is used to, it helps him spend a little more time on the track!!!!!
C U tonight..

Thats fair enough.. I dont think its unsporting either, just can cause confusion if a car spins out in front of you and reverses..Possibly when your trying to avoid them.
To be honest, as long as its used sensibly then I can't see there being any problems. If it means more track time then do it.. Just beware if competing in big meetings like SLCC, where people would be likely to kick up.

It's pretty much assumed these days that in serious racing no-one has reverse.
Many clubs and race series specifically state that reverse shouldn't be used, mainly as it's dangerous to reverse into the path of an oncoming car, and marshalls don't know who's got reverse and who's not.

Weather's looking great for tonight. Cars ready to go straight away as I can struggle to arrive on time from work sometimes. If i'm late can you just book me in for 13.5 please Dave, and I'll just pay & play whenever I get there.

Just finished the 17.5 install on Antz cyclone.. What a mission, far to much cable.. You should have seen his face when I started to cut up the wires!!
Anyway weather track side is stunning!!!
I've got to stop off to pick up some fuel for da genny but still should be at the track for around 4pm..
