Many thanks to everyone for their help and advice today. Had a great day even if my driving left a lot to be desired. Maybe we could try that style of format for the meeting in the future. That way we could have 4 qualifiers and even possibly 4 finals for no extra time. (Only if people would like that)

Was a good meeting and some good Pro Eco racing, thanks Terry, will beat you next time.
In my opinion the time between races was a bit long when there was only a few of us there. I appreciate that some people may need hours to rebuild their cars but gets a bit boring with so much time between heats.
Just my opinion and no harm intended.

Thanks for the feed back Ian, Antz was a little upset that he couldn't keep everyone happy with the timing between heats on Sunday.. It's always going to be an issue when we have such a broad group of drivers & a range of classes.. Wether is a quick Sunday morning RC fix your after or a lazy day tinkering with your latest toy, or it's a Eco newbie with only one battery and a slow charger!! from a RD's task it's never going to be a one size gap fits all drivers.. From my persective, as long as the majority have a good time on the track then that's a good RD job done If anyone can propose a solution to this never ending issue please let me know..

Dave there was no disrepect to Antz. He, as always, did a great job and Yes, I do know how difficult it is.
I do however feel that 45 minutes between rounds when there are only 2 heats is a bit too long, well for me anyway. Personally I would have thought that 20 minutes is long enough and maybe we could have got some more racing in.
There will always be people as you say, who are not ready or who want more time to tinker, charge or just chill. That will never change.
It is difficult when you have different classes with different set ups. In Pro Eco running just two battery packs and putting one on charge straight after the race means that I always had one battery ready to go in the car straight after I had marshalled so I could have gone straight out again almost without a break. Those that were running other classes that used more of their battery would obviously need a longer time to charge (and tinker I suspect) so there will always be a difference in time required.
My apologies for bringing this up, I may be the only one it affects so does not matter I guess.

Thanks again Ian, I know there was never any intention to "dis" Antz's RDing skills , and as always you comentents as a seasoned driver and supporter of the hobby are valued.. I agree a 45 min break in the circumstances you describe is to much sitting around time for most.. However I was told (right or wrong) the gap was 30 mins on Sunday?? Either way I guess the only way we could sort this would be to effectivly hold two meetings (assuming enough drivers - 8 in each class) We could run a shorter 4 round quicky finishing say at 12:00ish with shorter round gaps and interleave this with a more traditional slower 6 round affair with 45min gaps and a finish time around 3:30pm.. This way you could pick your Sunday's racing depending on your needs and availability for that day.. As I said before... It's a tough one and I don't see a simple answer on the horizon.. My only grip at the moment is I missed your hallowed return to pro-eco and my chance to give you a run for your money!! I hope the between round hanging around hasn't put you off popping down for Reality Cup this Sunday

I remember the gap after the first round was 45 minutes and Antz did a good job of getting it shortened after that.
My gripe is not what he did as I know he did make the gap shorter as the day went on. My gripe is more that there appears to be a distinct gap between the requirements of certain classes and I know it will be difficult to address that without upsetting someone.
It is possible to "interweave" classes and races, a good thought but there is a problem with that on a day like Sunday. The first races would have finished at 12, we would have gone home leaving no marshalls for the other guys who had paid just the same amount for a days racing. That would not be fair or practical. Good thought though.
Maybe I will just have to do two classes?

So my plan was simple we race more maybe 4quals & 4fins or 5 & 3 or whatever people want if my maths is right we would finish at are normal time but with more racing. Just for me i like the whole day and by using ants's times we would race more !!! What do others think ?

ANT did a good job as race directorv but round gaps were to long at the start . With 2 heats 20 mins gap is normally enough for most and it still means a round will be at least 35 mins . As we have have done before we can always build in extra time if sombody has a problem. WiTh few people and the cold weather coming we do need to keep racing moving and we could have 4 quals if people so decide. Thanks for the day antz DEREK
