Proposal: All club championships including the RRC should have a Junior classification and separate championship (they will also compete and race within the main championship). That is if the top placed Junior in a meeting comes fifth, he/she will get 96 points in the main championship and 100 points in the Junior championship. In the event that a Junior wins the main championship too, their score will be removed from the Junior championship and the 2nd placed Junior will have come first, etc. The Junior winning the main championship will be deemed ineligible for future Junior championships. Any Junior coming in the top 3 of a BRCA Junior Championship will be deemed ineligible for future club Junior championships. (not sure if this totally fair on a junior winning the BRCA U12s but I guess we can deal with that should it ever happen. I would be happy to amend this if there was a weight of opinion that U12s should not be subject to this exclusion) Reason for proposal: To help motivate, retain and recognise materially the accomplishments of junior members and help attract juniors to our club (eg article in local newspapers). Juniors are the club’s future. The second two paragraphs remove better Juniors from the equation and give greater opportunity for the others to win something.

Under 16s? Be under 16 when that current championship starts? Otherwise a good idea, and needs to be advertised to generate interest if passed

The BRCA and the club differ on the definition Mike and indeed clubs differ on their definitions.
The BRCA is U17 (or U14, U12) on 1st January. SHMCC is U16 at, I think, the start of the championship. I had just assumed we would follow the club's definition.
It might be smarter to make it the start of the year for consistency, ie boy has birthday on 1st May and say RRC starts 20th April and club summer champonship starts 20th May.
It might be better to leave this one to the Committee? It might have implications on annual membership fees

Possibly, although there is a junior fee isn't there? Could be run from 1st jan to coincide with the membership fees?
