Hi Guys,
I'm planning to put together a new member FAQ, with some Q's and A's that a new member might ask.
I remember when I first started racing at the club I had lots of questions, which took me a lot of googling to find answers to. So I thought we could produce a nice little FAQ for potential new members to make this process simpler.
The questions that I had myself were:
- How much does it cost?
- How long does it take to race like they do in Open TC (Pro Stock at the time)?
- How often do you race?
- What do you do if it rains?
- Where can I buy the gear from?
- I've just brought this. Can I race it here?
- Can I have a go?
- What's the difference between Brushless and Brushed?
- What batteries do you use?
- How do you charge in the field?
- How do you change the gearing?
- What car do you recommend?
- What class can I race in?
EDIT:
- What's better/easier Stick or Wheel controllers? / Why?
- What's the difference between the different Radio Frequency's (27Mhz, 40Mhz or 2.4Ghz)
- What's a servo and how do I know what one I need?
- Why do you have different tyres? What tyres do I need? and What do the numbers on them mean?
- Why do you put liquid on the tyres and what is it? Do I need it?
- Should I buy gear brand new or second hand?
- Why does my car not go in a straight line?
- Why is the race director braving the cold in a tee shirt!?
- What does: TC, RC, ESC, 32's, 28's, LTC, AGM mean?
- How does the qualifying work?
- How do finals work and why are there 3 of them?
- What does 18\312 mean? and why is it slower than 18\306?
Can you guys let me know what kinds of questions you have heard people ask?
The more extensive we can make it, the more useful it should be.
