OK folks,
so after Ian's great idea of running SCT's on tarmac at Bashley it's time to get a few of these monster bad boys on the track and see what they are like!
Not a proper race meeting but I'm suggesting a couple of hours this Sunday 25th to shake down our new toys and to discuss the series format etc..
so who's up for it??
(Tony K, already noted you guys are unavailable)

Sean and I might be able to pop along depending on time as well. Gut feeling is that we cannot make it, but you never know.

Well I don't think I've seen such a packed field and heard so many laughs up at Bashley for a long time!!! The Short Course Trucks were awesome!! and once we had lowered the jump a little (think we were a little ambitious with our fist attempt!)it didn't take long to get the jumping sorted :-) Big thanks to everyone who turned out with their new toys and made the afternoon a real hoot! And to Geoff for volunteering to make us three jumps The plan now is the have a short "race" meeting on Sunday 8th Feb from 10-12pm 2 qualifiers and to finals.. So to keep the interest up, here is the link to the pictures I took today. link

Both our cars had bent shock towers (probably due to some roof first landings). Quick job with the pliers straightened them (ish). If the same happened to a touring car, it would be new shock tower.
Fingers crossed that the 8th is dry.

Some good pictures there Dave, enough for a good avatar!! It was a good laugh and definitely takes a different driving style to successfully complete a lap without ending up on your roof!

Loving the avatar Andrew, I've a feeling I didn't use the full jump sequence for the album.. The old D300s shoots around 7 frames a second.. If you want the full sequence let me know :-)

Fingers crossed that the 8th is dry. Thats the great thing with the Volition Tony, it claims to be "weather" proof! So as long as it is not completley cats n dogs on the 8th we hope to race :-) Glad the plier fix worked!
