OK folks,
this is our penultimate Wednesday evening outside..
Weather is looking good, so it's only the race against the sunlight to contend with!!
So who's up for some later summer evening RC action??

Anyone for trucks? Both Sean and I would love to race them if we can get a heat together (the fun goes if you have to race them alongside the touring cars, too much moving out of the way).

I think I nicked the receiver out of my truck but was only thinking this week I need to make sure it is working ready for some more Winter truck racing. Will dig it out over the weekend and get it ready but I will be touring car racing on Wednesday.

Unfortunately my truck is out of action needs a spur gear and a bit of re-assembly of radio gear so its gonna be my touring car for this one maybe next week for the truck.

Yeah the Losi was pretty d**n good for sure. However have just bought a Durango DESC210 off e bay cheap so will see if that is any better in the handling stakes.

Yeah why not, could do with some fun! Mine is running so I am OK. Not sure what it will be like but there you go, who cares. Had several people online say that they want to do it as well. People who would not normally come so we will see what happens. Its always a good laugh for sure.

Ours were completely hopeless until I changed the tyres (£6 ebay ones shipped from China). If you have the stock tyres, you'll find you have no steering at all (ever).

I don't have any old tyres, just some wheels (which I will bring along, you can have them as they don't fit the Durango).

Yep great fun, have posted some videos on Facebook.
I agree, if you and I can actually get these trucks working it would be even more fun. Think I need to change the speedo in mine.

Well that was hilarious! we defiantly do need bigger jumps!
and i need to find some new harder wearing tyres, i destroyed most of mine, the tarmac isn't kind at all to the rubber.
How did everyone else find the tyres? what do you all use?

I am still using the original tyres that came with the truck. They are quite bald now though but that might be a good thing. Dont want too much grip.
Have replaced the speedo in mine with a normal Hobbywing 1060. Hope it does not overheat as it seems to work really well.. Suddenly I have speed again!
