No they are a much smaller size mate. I am told that SWEEP slicks (pre mounted) are the tyres for carpet which is what I have put on Andrew and my cars. Will find out Wednesday if they work or not. Use different compounds for front and rear, 25 and 35 I believe. Softer on the rear than on the front.

Sweep Tamiya Mini Pre Built Rubber Tyres+Wheels 25 Shore Grade (Pk 4) off E bay. plus the 33 shore set so you have front and rears.

We have not run either of these so no information yet as to what will or will not work. Have a few odd sets to try then will make a decision on what works best and get some. Going by what other clubs who run mini are using consensus is the SWEEP but then other clubs are using the later black grippy carpet, but whatever works for you. I used to run something else, I think they were Muchmore but cannot find them anymore so going to be all new. Will be fun whatever.

We've got a set of Sweeps, tried them a couple of times during the SICC. I think we preferred the Shimizu purely because of the additive thing, neither of us have ever really got the hang of it. Lap times were no different from memory either.

I use sweep tyres on my m05 at bransgore. You can get them from Rc mart really cheap! Most people use 33s on the f not and 25s on the rear. It is very important that you glue the sidewalls right up to the edge of the tyre though. To be honest. I have tried 25s all around with even more superglue on the sidewall and it handles exactly the same so your can get away with buying just one set instead of two. To superglue the sidewall I put the tyre on the car and set the throttle trim on the Tx so it spins the wheels slowly. Then I use a bit of wire (normal motor/battery wire off cut) to apply it and spread the glue round. This works really well and it is true and symetrical. Go right up to the edge of the tyre though as even a tiny bit of unglued sidewall can make you grip roll. Just ask Jamie Hope that helps! Joe

I use to run sweep tyres at new Milton with my m06 and they were good! I found additive made the car hard to drive
You only need to glue the side walls on the front wheel drive cars and as Joe says go right up to the edge as just the flat sidewall of the tyre is not enough
I have also heard the pit shimzu are good tyres but wear quickly?
