anyone race mardave cars here? i have an old one and think they are amazing fun. does the indoor track cater for these cars? if not is anyone interested in forming a mardave appreciation club? you could probably race an entire season on alot less than 200 pounds. i even have one of their old v10 cars knocking about.
i think keeping it simple as possible, standard 540 silver can jobbie, 4 cell and possibly ban electronic speed controls for the mechanical type supplied in the kit. that should test the driver capability, and racing is very close.
come on lets see your mardaves!!!

Chris, yes we used to run them indoors a few years ago but for some reason they died a death?? personaly I loved them for the ease of use/cheepness..and I think they are faster than the 2wd minis, the only down side to them is the foam tyre wear but they are still cheep!...I would love to run them again but thats up to the club?(I still have one)

It's strange how come classes come and go, and it's all down to popularity, if there are a good amount of drivers who are happy to race a particular class week in week out we'll include it!
What tends to happen is though a class may run for a while and then interest will drop off, and we'll be back to Touring Car + Mini. Both classes survive as there is a lot of interest in both in the local area clubs.
If you turned up with a Mardave we wouldn't turn you away, we'd put you in with the other minis and separate them off if they got popular enough.
