For anyone who remembers Barham raceway down in Kent. I was sent this newsletter from the Brooklands club which is where most of the members of disbanded Barham now race. Scroll down to the end of the page. www.ekrcm.co.uk/index_files/Newsletter1.htmIt's a real surprise to see that nothing remains of one of the really great tracks and venues just a couple of years after it folded. Sobering thought. Mark

That's a shame, I remember Barham with fondness. Probably because I had a decent result there! And who could forget the chickens!

A shame, unfortunatly I never got a chance to race there..I understand a domestic problem caused the shuting, nothing to do with lack of racers?

That's what I understand Les, a landowner issue and the thriving club was caught in the cross fire.

Yeah it is a shame. We had a lot of fun there over the years. Good track, good layout, terrifying chickens.
It is a shame to lose tracks like that especially as it seems they do not get replaced easily. Only goes to show everyone should make the most of what you have while you have it.

I've heard stories about this track, such a shame for one to go that way. thank goodnes we're not faced with major problems such as that at present.
