The thing is unless you are prepared to go to the BRCA AGM and try to change things, things will be shaped by those who do attend......so its either show up or put up. Col

Col A survey/poll put out to all affiliated clubs could of helped some, at least the BRCA would have got a "feel" for what club racers want?....

Perhaps when our new committee is in place they could suggest that to the BRCA in time for the next AGM.

Col As a proposal stick it on your list, its worth a try Col?..give it a go,Im up to item 99 and ill probably run out of puff by the time im finished. How can the BRCA ever expect racers to travel from all parts of the UK to vote?..If we did they would need to hire the Albert hall ;D

For what it's worth.
Ok I agree if you want to change something then you need to attend the BRCA AGM and vote for it. If you don't attend then don't complain about the results.
However. At club level and while I recognise the "need" to be affiliated with the governing body, do we really take much notice of what they say? In my opinion we tend to go with what suits OUR club rather than what is required to race at National level and I believe that is the right way to be.
For me that is the end of the story. We have always been that way and long may it continue.

Ian your on the right track there.
You (the brca members) are responsible for what the BRCA vote on by submitting your ideas to the BRCA if you so wish. The running of the shmcc club has very little to do with BRCA rules we just choose to select some parts to help make club racing better.
Please don't confuse the two things, SHMCC is about having fun with a small eye to competition rules. The BRCA rules and regs are for national competition, so it helps if we stay inline with them (for up and coming future stars) but its not the primary objective of the club. Which i've always thought was to have fun racing model cars.
