i have made the move to brushless (dramatic music), and its REALLY fast lol. my racin lines are a bit ragged but oh well. we r currently on 4.88 FDR and the motor is on a quite modest temperature of 60 degrees ;D.
quick question for u people hu no summin about racin, y is the car suddenly very loose on the back end?

simple... Lots more torque! Try laying the rear shocks in one hole, should help a little. HiH Ed

Hi Dan, I can see where Ed is coming from and it would normally be my first port off call. I do though notice that the team Xray drivers are generally running with "normal" rear shock positioning rather than layin them down. They seem to playing more with droop than shocks. Now of course, can't remember what you run, but it won't be as good as an Xray ;D but if the shocks don't work for you could try a bit more front droop or some pro squat. You don't say exactly what the problem is but if it is on acceleration rather than braking then this/these well help too.

the car is loose comin into the corner off power, my pit crew says that it was due to not having any tire additive or tyre warmers on

Yes, them 10.5 have all the torque all right. The car ends up 'moving around' a lot more, there's more fore-aft movement, through the increased torque on acceleration, and also on through increased braking forces. I found some front anti-dive helped under braking, keeping the car more level, and preventing the rear end from becoming loose.
Under acceleration I found one had to turn down all the punch etc on the speedo, and fiddle with the transmitter settings too. The best way to contain all that torque under acceleration is with your thumb. I lack the necessary skill, thus I'm sticking with stock!

If it not down to the tyre postition then you are probably transferring too much weight under braking so try reducing rear droop or putting on some anti dive at the front. I am assuming mid and corner exit is OK from what you say.

yh i can get the power down fine with punch setting 3 its just that wen i turn in for the 1st corner (its other corners too but this is the most obvious 1) im not braking im just rolling in and then the back steps out unless im goin really slowly

ill add something simplistic, are you using drag break as if i remember proparly this has been mentioned before in a similar discusion

I think default setting does give some drag brakes to try and emulate a brushed type setup. Even this can be enough to 'tip' you into the corner just bt lifting off.
I was astonished with full brakes on a 10.5, made the belts slip, that don't any other time! Awesome!

Dan it sounds like you have a weight transfer prob that may be droop related ?(loosing your rear off power into corners??) .. firstly check to see if the speedo has too much drag brake set ( I like 0 or setting 1 on the Nosram)..double check your droop, especialy the rear...this prob is very odd as I presume you have'nt altered anything from last week end?? I would expect you to loose the rear under power due to the extra grunt of the 10.5 but not the other way round..how very odd ...Ill give you my best guess solution when I see the car run. The extra power of the 10.5 does show up faults in your set up but not off power..try giving the car more rear"rise" ie more droop, say 2 or 3 mm,run the car then set droop back to kit, 5mm and note if any difference..thats my best guess mate Ps..If your front springing is too soft this will make the car "hook" off power into a fast bend..worse under braking..wieght transfer fault!
