And, amazingly, the forecast shows a temperature with wind chill that's above zero!
But only just, I'm not sure I'm suited to that sort of temperature...

Yeah its amazing the forcast is good for sunday, well morning anyway. Has anyone been to the track recently to see the state of the field i.e. is it really water logged? I'm race director for the day and i'll give 17.5 ago if i can find my motor. Any more takers for racing this sunday?

I will be there if the weather is OK. This morning (Saturday) the sun is shining, the roads are dry and it would be a good day to race. If tomorrow is the same then will be OK. Not sure about the field though. Everything is frozen solid at the moment but if it thaws out it could be very mucky.

had a quick look at the track just now when passing. It's ok, car park is only wet in some places, lots of it is dry and firm. Suggest you look before you park!

Weather is looking great for the morning, although it may be a bit cold. but temps of up to 4 degrees, then a bit of sleet after 3pm.
I know a lot of people will be going to chippenham 2morro, so if we don't get a good enough turn out, I will run a timed practice. But I will defo run if we can get 2 heats......

Was dry but frosty this morning at the track. Nice sunshine, probably the best day we have had for a while.
10am and only myself and Reuben here.
Looks like everyone else has gone to Chippenham.
Oh well, back home I suppose.

Yes Les it was a shame as looked like it could have been a good days racing and some funds for the club.
Maybe others turned up after I left. That I do not know but at 10am it was empty. Obviously all the committee went to Chippenham as well.

Not really James. Everyone is allowed to go and do what they want when they want. Especially as the forecast was poor but turned out to be OK. It was a shame that more people did not turn up. I guess they were all put off by the forecast. I only live 2 minutes away from the track so it is easier for me to make a snap decision than most other people.
At least I got some much needed practice in!

And Chippernam was guaranteed racing so i couldn't risk the weather at the track. Lets hope it's dry this weekend. (Edit) am i right in saying we might be traveling to aldershot this weekend weather permitting??

I asked all 16 drivers at the karting if they were racing on sunday and they all said no, so as only Reuben was going to the track i suspected there wasn't going to be enough to race.

I only stayed till about 12, track was lovely - minus the patch of ice....
easily scored a few 15 second laps with the 17.5 when I got the girlfriend with the stopwatch...... even I checked twice. But d**n that motor is quick.
