What time does racing finished........? I only ask as i live in blandford and dont wanna be getting home at 12 O'clock. If i can get home before my car turns into a pumpkin, then i'm up for racing 17.5 or 13.5......

I fancy a bit of outdoor mini!
What's the motor rules for minis outdoors this year?
Last year we had black cans, but to be honest, I don't think there's that much difference between that and a good silver can.
And what's the championship points status, is it a new champ?

Right... I have got myself a nice decorators table (Lets hope the misses doesn't get any ideas ) and a fold away chair, updated my FDR ratio to outdoor spec., charged up some old car batteries I had to provide a power source, got my asphalt tire additive, fitted it all and is working well.... I think I'm set to race, but is there anything else you guys think I might need different to indoor racing? or does it sound like I'm ready?? Also, what time are people planning on getting there?? A little earlier for practice??

Sounds like you're all set. Just check the ride height of the cyclone, don't want it too low! 6-6.5mm

(Still a novice remember ) so could prob do with a little help on that one I had a quick little bash outside my house earlier today and it didn't seem to bottom out, is the outdoor track really bumpy then?

Well, it aint carpet put it that way!
No problem, we can help you set ride-height (and hence droop too).
I'll be down there early, from about 5pm, I'm sure others will be too.

Firstly a massive thank you to all that turned up last night and the other members who helped setup the meeting before I got there. But WOW 27 drivers! We only managed 3 runs, but thats not bad for first night out. Next week hopefully we will have first heat out at 6.30 - 6.45? then we can easily manage 4 by then. hope everyone had a good time and the Wednesday indoor racers got a feel for the track. Wont be to long till they are all up to speed. Thanks again

Yep was good fun Reub, amazed at the turnout as well especially as there were a few "normal" people missing as well. Lets hope it stays that way. The light will get better over the next few weeks so will make it easier. Starting even earlier may not be an option for some people so please dont make it too early a start.
From what I saw everyone had a good time. The highlight for me was watching Sam and Jamie battle it out. Wish I could race like that.

We raced until 9pm last night Darren. As the summer moves on a bit, we can usually race a bit later, closer to 10pm at the height of summer.
It was a hoot last night, I had so much fun with the mini, I swear they corner faster than touring cars. I just wish there were more minis! MORE MINIS I SAY!
Sam and Jamie were a joy to watch, Jamie following Sam SO closely, and Sam not giving him even an inch. Brilliant stuff. Were you both running 10.5?

Yeah last night was a good laugh, I was running 13.5 in the first two heats then went too 10.5 for the night race! 10.5 all the way from now on!
