Hi oh knowledgeable ones. Some info on the following would be helpful to all us newcomers to Yeovil. In comparison with Bashley Smoother/bumpier/same More grippy/less grippy/ the same More tight & twisty/less tight and twisty/same More pinion teeth/less pinion teeth/same (for 27T) Pete i raced the old track layout last year (same tarmac!) its got loads of grip! what you need is a car that doesn't slide the front tyres too much as the tarmac is so corse it will eat tyres. So basically if your tyre wear rate at bashley is ok you'll probably be ok yeovil (ish) if it's a problem try a setup with more stearing/less rear end. The old track was abit of a car breaker as there is big wall round most of one side with an s-bend that if clipped sent car straight to the wall!, i think the new layout should make this less of an issue but smooth driving as ever will make good laps. Its a very flat track with small kerbs, very good rostrum. stock gearing at a guess very similar to bashley the new track looks more flowing than the old. hope this helps

The new track does flow alot better than the old track. Not as much of a car breaker, but it does punish you more in terms of overall lap time if you stray of line.
Tarmac is very grippy and as Rob said quite abrasive if you car is sliding. I've tested the 28's on a club night and assuming your car is setup tyre wear shouldn't be an issue.
Gearing wise for a 27t I have been running about the same as I would usually run at Bashley on abrushed 27t, sorry not sure about brushless.
