Hi Glenn that's right, the camping price is set by the club, not SLCC - I'll explain the price to you tomorrow,
Many Thanks

Put quite simply, the farmer charges a very high price for the field for the weekend, we have to ensure that we can cover the cost of the field.
A flat rate for tents/caravans fixed at £10 was used for STCC and will be used at SLCC.
This was previously discussed by the committee and it was felt that a tent + car + gazebo + Stuff takes up just as much room as a caravan + car + gazebo + stuff.
Whilst we the committee will welcome an open discussion at the AGM regarding the cost of camping, the current price is fixed and will remain for our last 2 day meeting of the year.

I'd agree £10 is appropriate for all campers.
At Yateley I was charged £10 for my camper van, where a tent + 2 cars was charged £5. Not that I'm bitter ;-)

Hi Martin, don't believe all you hear, Aldershot charged £10 per pitch per night regardless of whether it was a tent or caravan. Unfortunately they have a similar problem to us regarding their camping field. To break even at £5 per tent we actually need more campers than we can comfortably fit into our camping field Hope this clears everything up regarding our pricing, although if anyone would like more specific details, please feel free to PM me. For £10 per pitch. I am hoping for free beer, full english breakfast, lunch, tea and driver of the day award. Not much to expect from the smashing Bashley crew ;D ;D ;D ;D
