Ok, I have no idea about how to set roll bars properly.
I guess that the grub screws are there to hold the roll bar in place, but do these allow the roll bar to float in the holder or to hold it tight?
Anyone know any good guides / resources or advice on setting up roll bars on the car?
Ive noticed that if I dont let the roll bar float freely, it causes the car to pull one way at high speed. But allowing the roll bar to float freely could be wrong....
someone correct me please ? ;D
Thanks in advance

trying to remember one of my lessons from Dr les he said i believe that the bars should be free to move with the wishbones. tighten the grub screw only to the point where the roll bar cant come out of its holder.
but wait for one of the more knowledgeable ones to confirm or deny rubs ;D

Aye, the grub screws are there to adjust how free the roll bar is. It should be able to rise and fall freely, but without any additional play. Just like all the other suspension components.
They should not be set tight, hence the pulling to one side you've experienced.
Also, set the roll bar up, then connect to the wishbones, leave the shocks off and lift one side, the other wishbone should lift a small amount. Make sure each side lifts the same amount.
Adjust the rollbar (make it flat, adjust ball ends, link lenth, etc etc) to make it the same.
Put shocks back on and race.
