In the T3 thread people are talking about roll bar positions,
On all ( I think) of the cars I've owned they have a pre-set roll bar position (not adjustable like on the T3 ( do we call it the 00ten now? or the 010 or what??)
On all the cars, the links on the front have been narrower than on the rear, is there a correlation between the distance from the centreline of the car for the front and rear roll bar links? or is this just decided for us with prototype testing by the "gods"?

Matt the 3 position on the rear of the T3 appears to be a good idea, just how effective they are is unknown? The fixed position drop link roll bar is adjustable, this can be altered by sliding the ball end along to shorten or lenghten the lever action of the roll bar its self, this is not at all very effective on the track and is only normaly used to tweak the side to side lift test.
Why the front position is narrower than the rear is probably to do with a fouling issue on lock with the hubs/drop links???

Thanks Mr!
So why on the cyclone and the 4 do they have a narrower pick up point on the front than on the rear??

The further out on the arm you mount the roll bar the stiffer it becomes.
