hi, i have been considering buying an RC car for sometime now, but really want to race rather than just play about, never realised there was a club right on my doorstep!! So i just want to ask what sort of car should i look at getting to be able to race at your meetings, and what sort of costs am i looking at? i would like to spend as little as possible for now, until i get the hang of things! And is it ok to come along to one of your meetings just to have look around? Thanks in advance Rob

Hi Rob.
Feel free to pop down either Sundays (usually start racing about 10 finish about 3), Wednesdays 7-10.
Outdoors we run 3 classes of touring car: Ansmann, Stock & Pro stock. Indoors we run the same plus mini.
Both Stock and Pro-stock are only motor limited (stock being 17.5 and pro-stock being either a 13.5 or 10.5). Both these classes can be done either at a resonable price (if stuff is brought 2nd hand) or the sky being the limit.
Ansmann are the cheapest to run as these are Ready to Run kits and ideal for beginners and younsters to the sport.
Before making any decisions on what to buy, I would 100% recommend coming down and seeing whats what. Nothing worse than buying an RC vehicle that doesnt end up being what you expect and having to replace it very quickly.
So pop on down, theres a lot to learn.
Reuben
