Im no expert but going by all the great advise I have been given buy more experienced members(I must have been a pain) I would think 5.00 would be about right. Having said that all motors are different. It is about right for me with the EA due 17.5. But if I run the Losi at that it would be screeming Come on Les,Matt,Rueben,Jason,Terry ? ;D

Hi dean I would say if its the older istc(not stock spec) you would probably end up nearer 4.00 but the only thing you can really do is start of safe which 5.00 would be very safe and temp check after 5 minutes and gear up untill you come off at about 70-75 centegrade after 5 minutes.

I ran my LRP Sphere TC, which is the same as the Matrix ISTC (not stock spec version) with a speed passion 17.5 at 3.51 final drive ratio at bashley.
I would start around 3.8 / 3.7 and check temps after 2 minutes, 4minutes and then 5. and gear up or down from there.

Yup agree with Reuben, Ross is running an ISTC and we have his Nosram Storm running at 3.6
