it is similar yes, although no-one else runs one of theses at the minute, apparently the older sp's can be updated to use the firmware from this speedo
If i were you I'd look for a s/h stock spec or a new one - rather than buying a new speedo that no-one uses...

The 2.1 is basically the speed passion 2.0 with the latest stock software already applied to it. I currently have a 2.0 that i want to test sunday (with the 107 stock software loaded onto it), initial thoughts is that it runs a bit warmer than stock spec, but has a lot more punch with about the same top end.
but we will see how it performs on sunday.

Dean. Just a note copied accross from another forum from Shaun Palmer who is doing the USA distribution of SP USA:
The question that was asked was what the difference between the 2.1 and 2.0 esc were.
"There are some slight differences in the hardware that help optimize the "supercharger" software functions, but the main difference is the all alloy integrated heat sink case, which allows for better cooling, and also lowers the overall height to make a better fit for 12th scale.
I don't see much reason to ditch your 2.0 and grab a 2.1, unless you've just got to have that cool case and shorter height."
This supercharger function appears to be Speed passions answer to turbo mode. The new supercharger software isnt out yet (i expect it to be out with the 2.1 and available to install on a 2.0 when its ready).
