I got my Code 2.4ghz radio the other day but not sure if set up right.
just cant seem to get the car to go full throttle! it seems that full throttle is only giving me about 60% power.
Has anyone got this radio that can give me some advice please?

Hi Mate,
This maybe a silly question, but when you changed the radio, did you also re configure the throttle end points on the esc? (i.e. set the neutral, full brake and full throttle points). If not, check the manual for your esc and try re-calibrating them.

not wrong as such - those who've been using Nimhs and Lipo for a long time ( even longer than me) will explain how much easier, and safer a lipo is in comparison to a Nimh!
has this thread been jacked yet?

someones nimh exploded at the carpet thrashnals one year and they sounded like a shotgun.the guy was covered in bits of metal Like Jamie I have seen and heard plenty of Nihms go bang but never a Lipo,Ive seen them "puff up" and get hot though. A couple of weeks ago one of my packs lost voltage on one cell "zero" so I decided to split the case to check internal connections...I was in the process of parting the outer case with a Stanley blade but slipped and poked it into one of the cells(easily done as the very thin foil cell wrapping is very very close to the outer hard case)....out come: A few sparks with a melted blade tip,no visible flame but lots of heat and a huge amount of pungent smoke that filled my back garden. It seemed that after about 5 secs one tiny cut set off a slow chain reaction that lasted for approx 1min??....plus I had to try it on the other cell to see if it was a fluke or faulty cell,No!! the same thing happened.be warned!! Given the choice I would rather be close to a dodgy Lipo than a Nihms,as you never get any warning when theses explode, and they do violently!!! showering the area with chemicals and shrapnel Ps my experiment was done out doors well away from any flammables!
