If it the stock spec matrix evolution then it will only output what you put in. The newer Nosram speedo has a built in step up booster so is ok. On the stock spec you would need to use the nimh/nicad setting for voltage cut off as if you select lipo it is sensing 2cell lipo at 7.4 volts and will think you are at cut off on 3.7 volt. You will have no lipo cut off this way but 1 race will never run it flat anyway mate. Dean and I were talking earlyer and the one he has is the newer voltage booster built in.

You are correct in saying it will work but your steering will be slow as it's trying to run on 3.7 volts. If it's for tomorrow I have got a 6.6v receiver pack you can use instead of a booster.

Nosram Matrix ISTC and the Nosram Pearl work fine with 2 cell Lipos cos that is what we run. But I do not know the position with 1 cell except the input voltage is 3.7v to 7.4v so i assume they are OK with a 1 cell.
They both automatically sense the input battery tpe

The Nosram matrixs have to have a booster to run a 1s but the Nosram Pearls can use 1s without anything
